Ludlow, in the south of the county, is one of Shropshire’s best-known market towns. Its medieval street pattern, castle and large number of listed buildings give it real character, and it has a well-earned reputation for food and drink. The streets around the market square and Broad Street are home to restaurants, hotels, delis, cafés and independent shops, with offices and accommodation on the floors above, while business units on the edge of town near the A49 serve local trades, manufacturers and food producers.

Food businesses depend on their kitchens, and a gas fault at the wrong moment can mean lost covers. Our co-founder Peter is a Gas Safe registered engineer who services, repairs and certifies commercial catering appliances, including gas interlock checks and CP42 certificates. We can schedule the work before service or on your closed days, and combine it with decorating dining rooms, refreshing guest areas or clearing a list of repairs, so your premises are only disrupted once.
Respecting historic buildings
Many of Ludlow’s commercial premises are listed or sit within the conservation area, which means external changes and some internal work may need consent. We work to the specification and colours you or your agent have agreed, and we take extra care with preparation, protection and making good. Jeffery, our co-founder and an experienced painter and decorator, leads our decorating work, and our plasterers repair walls and ceilings sympathetically so the finish sits well with the building.
Everything else under one roof
Beyond gas and decorating, our partner electricians can upgrade lighting, add power, test installations and look after emergency lighting, while our partner air conditioning engineers can install and service systems where they suit the building. For shops, offices and small hotels, our handymen deal with doors, fixings, ceilings and the day-to-day repairs that keep a building in good order.
Independent shops in the town centre can have interiors and frontages refreshed, lighting improved and repairs carried out outside opening hours, keeping the character of the building while making it work better for customers and staff.
Ludlow is further from our Telford base than some towns, so we plan visits carefully, group jobs together wherever possible and agree timings with you in advance. A planned maintenance contract is a good way to keep servicing, certificates and repairs on schedule without having to chase several contractors.
